Prior to co-founding MSR, Ryan spent over seven years with Greystar Real Estate Partners, one of the Country’s largest and most respected apartment companies, most recently serving as a Principal within Greystar’s Investment Group. In this role, Ryan was responsible for the firm's investment activity in the Southeastern United States. At Greystar, Ryan served as a principal investor and asset manager on behalf of institutional clients such as Goldman Sachs, GE Capital, MetLife Real Estate, Morgan Stanley, and Crow Holdings. Prior to joining Greystar, Ryan was an Associate with Ernst & Young’s Assurance and Advisory Business Services Division in Atlanta, GA, where he served public clients such as Coca-Cola Enterprises (NYSE - CCE) and real estate clients such as Sea Pines Associates and Kan Am Group.

Originally from Atlanta, GA, Ryan received his MA from The University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and his BA from The University of Georgia. Ryan is also a licensed CPA in the State of Georgia.
