JACK M. DANIELS, P.E.
PRESIDENT/ MEMBER 

Jack is responsible for managing the day to day responsibilities of MSR and establishing the MSR brand in the Charleston area.  This includes developing and ensuring adherence to long term investment strategies, acquiring and developing premium land parcels (for both MSR and on a consulting basis for third parties) and constructing high-end speculative homes in extremely desirable and marketable locations.

Prior to joining MSR, Jack spent nearly a decade developing the Land Departments for Ryland Homes (CalAtlantic) and D.R. Horton, two of the Nation’s largest and most successful homebuilders.  In his roles as Land Development Project Manager and later as Land Development Manager, Jack was responsible for acquiring large tracts of raw land, creating a development plan with a sound economic forecast and ensuring the completion of site development and amenity construction within (and often below) the allotted time and financial parameters.  During his tenure with the National Builders, Jack awarded or directly supervised over $87 million of development work and constructed nearly 4,500 residential lots valued well in excess of $400 million.

Jack’s tenure as a Land Developer was preceded by a nearly five year engagement with S&ME, Inc., a geotechnical, environmental and materials testing firm with offices throughout the southeast.  Jack’s vast experience in coordinating geotechnical field investigations and designing and testing foundation systems led to his successful licensure as Professional Engineer in the State of South Carolina.

In addition to maintaining his licenses as a Professional Engineer and SC Residential Homebuilder, Jack has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Clemson University.  Choosing to stay close to his family homestead, Jack resides in Charleston with his wife and two young children.
